MTM - Will Childhood Illnesses Recur if We Dont Vaccinate Our Kids?
Are pediatric vaccines as safe and necessary as we've been led to believe? Dr. Robert Jackson challenges conventional wisdom in this eye-opening episode, drawing on his 43 years of medical practice to answer pressing listener questions about childhood immunizations.
Drawing back the curtain on vaccine history, Dr. Jackson reveals how measles, mumps, rubella, and other childhood illnesses largely disappeared before vaccines were introduced, thanks to improvements in public sanitation and hygiene. He shares striking statistics about measles - no child deaths in the US for over 20 years and a natural infection mortality risk of just 1 in 105 million, compared to vaccine adverse reaction risks of 1 in 168 children ending up in emergency rooms after their 12-month MMR shot.
Most startling is Dr. Jackson's discussion of the MMR-autism connection, citing CDC whistleblower William Thompson who admitted to participating in research fraud by omitting data showing increased autism risk in vaccinated children. "I've heard dozens of mothers tell me their child was developing normally until receiving the MMR vaccine," Dr. Jackson shares, explaining why he advises parents against this particular immunization. He also deconstructs the 2014 Disneyland measles outbreak narrative, revealing that most cases occurred among vaccinated individuals or were caused by the vaccine strain itself.
For concerned parents, Dr. Jackson offers practical advice on boosting children's immunity naturally and navigating college or military vaccination requirements through religious exemptions. He recommends resources including Dr. Paul Thomas's book "Vax Facts" and TheHealthyAmerican.com for those seeking exemptions based on First Amendment rights.

Welcome to More Than Medicine, where Jesus is more than enough for the ills that plague our culture and our country. Hosted by author and physician, dr Robert Jackson, and his wife Carlotta and daughter Hannah Miller. So listen up, because the doctor is in.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Welcome to More Than Medicine. I'm your host, Dr Robert Jackson, bringing to you biblical insights and stories from the country doctor's rusty, dusty scrapbook. Well, my podcast a couple of weeks ago on vaccines and why you should not give pediatric vaccines to your children and grandchildren has provoked a great number of questions, and folks have emailed me their questions, and today what I would like to do is I would like to answer some of the questions that my listeners have emailed to me. So the first question is this is what if we do not give vaccines to our children? Will there be outbreaks of measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox once again in our country? Well, that's a good question, and the first thing I want to say to you is I've been practicing medicine for 43 years and I have not seen measles, mumps, rubella or chickenpox outbreaks in my medical practice. In fact, I hardly ever see even isolated cases of any of these diseases. I have seen an occasional case of measles and chickenpox. I haven't seen any mumps, haven't seen any rubella, but I have occasionally seen measles and I have occasionally seen chickenpox. There are occasional outbreaks of measles. Some of you will remember the Disneyland outbreak in 2014 of measles, in which there were about a little over a thousand cases of measles and we're going to talk about that in a few minutes. Currently there's an outbreak of measles down in Texas. I don't have any statistics or public health data on that at this time. Maybe when I have the data I will come back to you and we'll discuss that in detail. When I have the data, I will come back to you and we'll discuss that in detail.
Dr. Robert Jackson:All of these childhood illnesses were extinguished before the 1950s and they disappeared because of improvements in public sanitation. Medical science would like you to believe that the childhood illnesses disappeared because of the introduction of pediatric vaccines, but that's not the truth at all. All of the childhood illnesses, every last one of them, disappeared before the 1950s because of the introduction of public sanitation and improvements in hygiene. So the people who should get the greatest kudos are the engineers, the public sanitation engineers. They're the ones who eliminated measles, mumps, rubella, typhoid, cholera, because all of those things disappeared before the 1950s. There's not a pediatric vaccine for cholera, there's not a pediatric vaccine for typhoid, and yet those things disappeared without a pediatric vaccine. Why is that? It's because of public sanitation, improvements in hygiene and, to some extent, improvements in nutrition. Some of these illnesses were made worse by poor nutrition and certain vitamin deficiencies. For example, measles can be treated with infusions of vitamin A or giving vitamin A, and it improves the mortality by 87 percent simply by giving children large doses of vitamin A. So I just want you to understand that if we were not to give any of the pediatric vaccines to any children in the United States, there would not be a huge resurgence of any of these childhood illnesses. And it's not because of the lack of the vaccines, it's because of the improvement in public sanitation. These illnesses disappeared long before the vaccines were ever introduced. Now let's just talk about a couple of these illnesses in particular. I want you to be familiar with measles and chicken pox. Let's just pick two of them to talk about.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Measles usually presents with a rash. It often involves the whole body. It's a pink, raised and serious-looking rash and it usually is accompanied by fever, congestion, a cough and pink eye, and it lasts about a week. Measles is very contagious. Now let's talk a little bit about the prevalence. Measles affects one out of 1.2 million people. When it was a big issue.
Dr. Robert Jackson:The vaccine is a very effective vaccine it's 95% effective. But there are risks attached to the vaccine and the risk of death from the vaccine is greater than one in 108,000 patients. But what's the risk if you don't get the vaccine? The risk of death from measles is less than 1 in 105 million. That's not a very great risk, is it? So you need to remember that the risk of death if you don't get the vaccine is 1 in 105 million, but the risk if you get the vaccine is 1 in 105 million. But the risk if you get the vaccine is 1 in 108,000. So just ponder that a little bit Now. There have been no childhood deaths from measles in the United States for over 20 years. Children who are deficient in vitamin E I'm sorry, vitamin A are more likely to experience complications.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Before the vaccines appeared on the scene, parents largely came to see measles as an unpleasant, although more or less inevitable, part of childhood, and primary care doctors pretty much shared that view. So let me ask you why would they even develop a measles vaccine? Alexander Langmuir, who is a chief epidemiologist at the Center for Disease Control, wrote in 1962, just before the first measles vaccine was licensed. To those who ask me why do you wish to eradicate measles? I reply with the same answer that Hillary used when asked why he wished to climb Mount Everest, he said because it is there. To this may be added and it can be done. Langmuir, it turns out, was overly optimistic. Now, more than 60 years later, it is not at all clear whether it can indeed be done. What Langmuir didn't know at the time was that vaccine-induced immunity wanes over time. At this point we have an unknown and growing percentage of adults whose measles immunity has worn off, leaving them susceptible to more severe measles infection than they would have had if they had contracted measles as children. And that has nothing whatever to do with the tiny percentage of parents who have chosen not to give their children the MMR vaccine. So, anyway, those are things that need to be considered.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Now think about this. One of the measles vaccines that's available today. It's the MMR2, has a host of concerning ingredients. It contains neomycin, glutamate, chick embryo cell culture, fetal bovine serum, WI38, human diploid lung fibroblast derived from a female fetus aborted in the early 1960s, and recombinant human albumin. Now, these are the contents in that vaccine, besides other ingredients. With that concoction, is it any wonder that the MMR is associated with autism? Now, pay attention to this.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Dr Andrew Wakefield discovered that children vaccinated with the MMR vaccine often develop GI issues, includinga chronic inflammatory bowel syndrome. What he didn't know at the time was that there is a common link between bowel inflammation and brain immuno-excito toxicity. The stimulus to the brain travels by two routes the vagus nerve and the bloodstream. Both activate brain microglia and precipitate chronic immunoexcitotoxicity in these children, with a resulting drastic rise in autism spectrum disorders. The actual mechanism, despite what promoters of these vaccines say, has been well demonstrated.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Now here's an interesting story that everyone needs to know. A long-term CDC researcher his name was William Thompson name was William Thompson told scientists and autism dad and vaccine watchdog Brian Hooker that he and four CDC colleagues had played fast and loose with their data when reporting the results of a study on MMR timing. That story of research fraud is detailed in the documentary Vaxxed from cover-up to catastrophe, which I highly recommend that you watch. Dr Thompson issued a statement through his attorneys after the film came out, in which he said I regret that my co-authors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African-American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected and I believe the final study protocol was not followed. The increased risk Dr Thompson was talking about was a three times greater rate of autism in the black boys who got MMR on time. The original paper actually found a statistically significant increased risk of autism in the general population as well. The authors just dismissed that result by claiming, without any evidence whatsoever, that the kids with autism got the vaccine early so they could get early intervention. Thompson later said that his co-authors literally threw the omitted data into a garbage can to get rid of it. They were able to bury this malfeasance for more than a decade before Thompson confessed the fraud to Dr Hooker.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Every time I read this I become more and more angry because, you see, the pharmaceutical industry has been denying for decades that there's any risk of autism associated with the MMR vaccine. But I have patients, I have moms who say to me repeatedly over the years that their child was developing normally until they received an MMR vaccine and then within a week or so their child began to stare into the distance or began to flap their arms or developed other serious neurologic deficits. And they say to me, dr Jackson, my child was normal until they received that MMR vaccine. Now listen to me, dear listener If I'd only heard that once or twice in 43 years, I would just chalk it up to coincidence. But I've heard that dozens and dozens of times, and that's not mere coincidence. There's something about the MMR vaccine that contributes to autism in children, to neurologic deficits in children, and the pharmaceutical industry, the vaccine manufacturers, are denying it and covering it up. And I'm saying to you, moms do not let your children take an MMR vaccine, because there's no measles out there. Why would you give your child a dangerous vaccine for a disease that disappeared in the 1950s? That's a very serious question for you to consider. That's a very serious question for you to consider. It appears, at this point in time, that the risk associated with the MMR vaccine far exceed the likelihood of death or disability from a natural measles infection.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Now let's talk about the Disneyland outbreak. I want to discuss that with you briefly so you'll understand what we're dealing with. In 2014, the media was trumpeting that there was an outbreak in Disneyland and there was a little over a thousand cases in December of 2014. Cases in December of 2014,. And there were television commercials literally hundreds of television commercials trumpeting and claiming that it was due to the unvaxxed, that they were responsible for the outbreak and that the unvaxxed were in danger of contracting a very serious illness. Now, really Well, after all the data was collected, suddenly the commercials disappeared. Why did they disappear? Let me tell you why.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Because when the data was collected, it turned out that 31% of the cases were actually in the vaxxed individuals and their vaccines had failed. 38% were unknown and out of the 120 cases that were quote unknown, they were really not unknown, they just their medical records could not be found. Not unknown, they just their medical records could not be found. And out of the 120 unknowns, 20 of them were adults who stated yes, I received an MMR vaccine, but because their records couldn't be found, they were declared to be in the unknown category. So, really, of the 120 who were unknown, 20 of them were actually really known to receive an MMR vaccine and their vaccine failed also. And then another 30% they tested their measles genotype and they were found to be children who had the vaccine strain. Their genotype was the vaccine strain and they had recently been vaccinated and their measles was actually from their recent MMR vaccine. So let me go through that again. I want you to fully understand 31% had been vaccinated. Their vaccine failed and they contracted the measles even though they'd been vaccinated. 38% were in the unknown category and 30% contracted the measles from their recent MMR vaccine.
Dr. Robert Jackson:So let me ask you a question how good is the vaccine program? Not very good at all. And how safe is the vaccine itself? Not very safe, because 30% of those who got the vaccine actually got the measles from the vaccine itself. So let me ask you a question Do measles outbreaks occur?
Dr. Robert Jackson:Well, yes, they do. One occurred there in Disneyland in 2014. There's one ongoing right now in Texas. But how serious is a measles outbreak? Well, the only people who really have to be concerned are those who are immunocompromised and children who are less than a year of age. But now, do the children less than a year of age have to be really concerned? Well, not really, because if you give them vitamin A, then 87% of them are going to be protected. Has any child died in the United States in the last 20 years from measles? Well, no, the only person who's died in the last 20 years is a woman who was immunocompromised and she had multiple serious illnesses going on at that time, and it's really not even fair to say that she died from the measles because she had so many other serious illnesses going on. There are fewer than a thousand cases of measles per year in the United States out of 330 million people.
Dr. Robert Jackson:But let me point this out to you and nobody's telling you this when pediatric patients receive their 12-month MMR, 1 in 168 will end up in the emergency room. Statistically, 1 in 168 will end up in the emergency room with a serious adverse reaction to that vaccine. When pediatric patients receive their 18-month MMR, one in 730 will end up in the emergency room with a serious adverse reaction. Does anybody tell you that? No, I don't think they're telling you that. And there are hundreds and hundreds of stories of normal kids who receive an MMR and within days or weeks of that, they start developing serious, permanent neurologic deficits on the autism spectrum disorder.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Now, moms, I don't know if you remember the peanut butter commercial from years ago that said choosy moms choose Jif, the brand name peanut butter. And I'm saying to you that choosy moms choose not to give their children MMR vaccines. Now I was going to talk to you about chickenpox vaccine, but I'm going to have to save that for another time. We're just running out of time for this podcast. I don't like to go much over 23 to 25 minutes, but I just wanted you to understand. About these vaccines I have a great deal of concern. These are some of the questions that my mom's asked me. Let me go through another question or two before I run out of time here.
Dr. Robert Jackson:Another question was how do we boost our children's immune system, and I'm going to give you two resources that I think will be useful for you. One is With the Wind, by Dr Paul Thomas, whom I've referenced multiple times on my program. He discusses boosting your children's immune system with vitamins and repurposed drugs and also the children's health defense with Robert F Kennedy Jr, whom President Trump just now appointed to be the head of Health and Human Services. He has a podcast and a YouTube. I don't think transcripts are available, but both of these men have programming where they talk about how to boost your children's immune system. Dr Thomas is a featured speaker on children's health defense every week and I would reference those programs for you.
Dr. Robert Jackson:The other question that I have is this is there a detox for pediatric immunizations? And, as far as I know, there's not a detox for pediatric immunizations. There are multiple detox programs or regimens for COVID vaccine, but none that I'm aware of for regular pediatric vaccines. And then the last question I want to address is what if my child wants to go to college later or go in the military, but they've never been immunized? The first thing I would say is this is there are a lot of online colleges and universities that your child can attend, where they will never need an immunization. Going in the military is different, but by the time your child is 18 to 20 years of age, if they require multiple immunizations, your child's immune system and neurologic system will be fully developed and they will be able to tolerate multiple vaccines without any damage to their immune system or their neurologic system. That's a far cry different than giving 76 immunizations to their immature immune system and neurologic system as a child, and so waiting until they're much older and more mature is a much safer proposition.
Dr. Robert Jackson:If you need to get a religious or conscientious objection to go into college, I would refer you to a website called HealthyAmericancom which has an entire section devoted to how to write a religious or conscience objection to vaccines, and I've referred multiple patients to that website. They've used the recommendations there. It is a First Amendment. Right of yours to declare a conscientious objection and if you use their recommendations, you will be successful. My patients have been successful using their recommendations at the college level, university level and even in the military on occasion level, and even in the military on occasion. So I would recommend thehealthyamericancom. Thehealthyamericancom. It's a useful resource.
Dr. Robert Jackson:All right, I'm running out of time and I hope you enjoyed this and I'll try to add other immunizations we'll talk about at a later date. I want to reference you to Vax Fax by Paul Thomas MD. Some of this information comes directly from his book. It's an excellent resource and I think you ought to invest in his book. I highly recommend it and I'm out of time. Sorry, I have to leave you. We'll be back next week. You're listening to More Than Medicine. I'm your host, Dr Robert Jackson, and we'll be back next week. Between now and then, may the Lord bless you real good.
